After over 20 years of marriage and ministry, we’ve learned that most people are caught up in a fantasy!
They’ve got unrealistic expectations about what a relationship should be, and that leads to disappointment because when two people with diverse backgrounds come together, the fantasy they imagined doesn’t exist.

A Little More About the Littles
Hey, I’m Ulysses “Skip” Little!
I’m currently serving as an Associate Pastor and Department Head of the Family Life Ministries at First Baptist Church of Glenarden under the leadership of Pastor John K. Jenkins Sr.
At First Baptist, I lead over 45 ministries with my wife, Beverly, that address the needs of men, women, couples, seniors, and young adults.
Among my greatest passions are ministering to men through a weekly men’s-only Bible study and mentoring husbands to be stronger leaders of their families. I take pride in encouraging and challenging men to go higher in Christ!
I also manage a volunteer staff of over 90 leaders and employees who meet the needs of the ministries and ministry leaders.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College and my Master of Divinity from Howard University, and I’m currently a candidate for a Doctorate of Ministry at Regent University.
My desire is to continue in the work of the Lord, standing on the fact that I can do ALL things through Christ that strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).
Now that I’ve shared a bit about myself, I’d love to introduce you to my beautiful bride, Beverly.
Hey, I’m Beverly Little!

I also serve as an Associate Pastor and Assistant Department Head of the Family Life Ministries at First Baptist Church of Glenarden. And as Skip said, I support him in leading more than 45 ministries within our department.
I earned my B.S. degree from Hampton University, a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Old Dominion University, and a Master of Theological Studies from Bethel Seminary.
Over the years, God has blessed me to serve as a teacher, mentor and counselor, providing guidance and direction to over 80 ministry leaders in the Family Life Department.
Skip and I minister nationally and internationally, traveling to Ukraine, Ghana, West Africa, Cape Town, South Africa, and Mahikeng, South Africa.
My mission is to proclaim the Will of the King, recognizing that nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37).

We met at the singles ministry at our church (where I served as the director). I expressed very little interest in Skip, but that didn’t stop him from pursuing me!
After three months of Skip’s persistence, I agreed to meet him for dinner. At that time, we decided to pray about how God was leading our relationship.
Our relationship continued to develop, and two months later, Skip visited my older brother’s home to ask him if he could “court” his sister (both of my parents were deceased).
After four hours of questions and a follow-up visit, my brother agreed after consulting with our two brothers. We began a six-month courting relationship that led to engagement and marriage a year later.
Six months after marriage, the Lord placed on our hearts to share with couples what they should consider when thinking about getting married. Out of that came a class and a book entitled So You Think You Want to Get Married?.
And the rest is history!

While we work with clients online anywhere in the world and in-person locally, we live and operate our business, Skip and Beverly Ministries LLC, in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
When we’re not busy helping people transform their relationships, we love spending time with our two amazing children.
